What is VITEEE?

VITEEE is a university level exam conducted once in a year across the country. VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) will be conducting VITEEE 2020 for B.Tech admissions across the various campuses. The institute will offer 36 undergraduate (UG), 31 postgraduate (PG), 4 integrated & 3 research programs.

VITEEE 2020 Application Form has been extended till 22nd March 2020. It will be a common entrance exam for VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT-AP and VIP Bhopal

Before applying for VITEEE 2020, the candidate must check all the details regarding age limit, nationality, required academic qualifications and more are present in VITEEE 2020 eligibility criteria. Those candidates who are not able to meet VITEEE eligibility criteria 2020 will be disqualified from the admission procedure.

Age
  • Should have been born on or after July 1, 1998. It has to be noted that only the date of birth present in the 10th standard/SSC/High School certificate will be considered by the authorities.
Nationality
  • Candidates who are residents of India will be able to apply for VITEEE 2020. Non-residents of India will also be eligible for the examination and admission process.
  • Foreign applicants will be able to apply through the application form for foreign nationals.
Academic Qualification
  • Should have qualified 10+2 standard through CBSE, ICSE or any state board OR
  • The candidate should have attempted any pre-University examination or intermediate through the recognized board or University OR
  • Should have a high school certification from Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma from the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva OR
  • Should possess General Certificate Education (GCE) from Cambridge/London/Sri Lanka with an advanced “A” level OR
  • The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) students can also apply OR
  • All candidates who have studied full time, regular and formal education will be eligible for VITEEE 2020.
Marks Required
  • The candidates should have studied Maths/Biology, Chemistry and Physics for their 10+2th standard (or equivalent) qualifying examination.
  • General category candidates should have secured 60% and above in Maths/Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
  • For SC/ST candidates, the score to be secured is 50%.
  • Students belonging to the North-East states should have also secured 50% and above in all the subjects.
Year of Passing
  • The candidates should have completed their qualifying examination or should be appearing for it in 2020.
VITEEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria for NRI and Foreign Students

There are few criteria which the candidates applying through NRI and foreign category will have to check and meet. The list of eligibility criteria of VITEEE 2020 for NRI and foreign students are given below.

  • Candidates should have studied from an English medium school.
  • Should have completed 10+2 years with Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology.
  • It is mandatory to secure a minimum score of 60% in all of the subjects.
